August 17 is National Nonprofit Day, which celebrates the positive impact nonprofits have on local communities as well as globally. National Nonprofit Day also recognizes the goals nonprofits have achieved.
In honor of this day, we want to join with nonprofits around the country to celebrate the positive change we have created in our communities and share some of our goals achieved and our future goals.
Here’s what GG’s Foundation has done:
As you can see in the graphic above, we’ve answered a total of 185 assistance requests and distributed 1,043 pounds of food for animals in 2019 alone. We have funded TNVR for 571 felines and helped 141 animals find their “Furever” homes through adoption. We’ve also facilitated our Humane Education Workshop for various organizations, including the Detroit Impact Center, Friendship Circle, and Michigan State University’s Animal Welfare Group.
Our mission and funding focus is as follows:
GG’s Foundation Mission Statement:
To reduce overpopulation through conducting TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, return) and fund spay/neuter, vaccinations, and medical care for homeless, neglected, abandoned, and abused feral (community felines).

- Assist “Colony Caretakers” to spay/neuter and vaccinate community felines, educate their communities, and help set up shelters and food stations.
- Provide “Humane Education” within our communities to nurture compassion and respect for all living beings, our planet, and humane treatment of animals.
GG’s Funding Focus:
